Synopsis
A biopic about Jørgen ‘Gamle’ Hansen, a Danish boxer who, in the 1970s, won the European championship title 9 times against all odds. He remains one of the most successful Danish boxers of all time.
Late 1970s. Most see Jørgen’s boxing career as over. He is afraid to fight, his body is worn down and the bank is threatening to take the house. Only one person holds it all together: his love, Hanne – his manager, friend and wife. When Hanne decides that the family Hansen should house the Ugandan boxer Ayub Kalule, Jørgen realizes he is not ready for retirement just yet…
