Synopsis

Beth and Kate live in London, they have always been best friends and no matter what happens in their lives, they always have one thing to look forward to: a weekend together once a year. This year they are going to Split, having secured the perfect apartment, the perfect view and the perfect trip plan. Arriving at their destination, they decide to go out for the night, but when Beth wakes up the next morning, Kate is gone. Rejected by the police and with only a hazy memory of the previous night’s events, Beth is her friend’s only hope. As she frantically tries to unravel what really happened, Beth makes a series of shocking discoveries.

The Weekend Away is a psychological thriller set in the fascinating world of picturesque Croatian streets, colourful buildings, crystal clear sea, ancient ruins, nightclubs and magical sunsets. The outline of the film is Beth’s fear erupting into a seething rage and ultimately her empowerment.
