Villages & Settlements

The diversity of Croatia is best seen in idyllic hidden places and settlements that stand as monuments of the past. From the Mediterranean as it once was, best seen on the Dalmatian islands, through idyllic places in the interior of Istria, villages scattered on the hills of Zagorje, all the way to the calm of the Slavonian plain. The most famous film village in Croatia is Lekenik, where the film Fiddler on the Roof was shot in 1971, while the modern Robin Hood was shot in the Istrian village of Završje.
