Hotel Portofino, Season 2

Synopsis

It’s the summer of 1927 and Bella Ainsworth is still putting her considerable energy into the thriving Hotel Portofino. To Bella’s relief, her husband, Cecil, has not been seen since returning to England. Bella is very much looking forward to the arrival of her son Lucian and the chance to talk to him about her plan to convert the hotel basement into a SPA, but she also wants to hear the truth about his new marriage. Bella also tries to persuade her daughter, Alice, to go on vacation with her friends to the French Riviera. However, Bella’s plans are overshadowed when Cecil shows up in Portofino unannounced. As Cecil plots to fit the hotel into his shady business plans with local fascist official Vincenzo Danioni, Bella must deal with the consequences of her children’s messy private lives. In addition to all that, she will have to deal with the arrival of the tourist inspector, who could really be decisive for the future of the hotel.
