Episode 11 – “The Bone Breaker”
Near the village of Brilo in Dalmatia, the body of a young man with long black hair, in a red dress, whose identity cannot be determined, was found on the road. The only trace is a red dress – tailored many years ago for Marija Ruković. She has since passed away, but traces can also be found in the car of her disappearing widower. Another corpse appears in the same place as the first. During a thorough autopsy of the dead boy, Brigita discovers that the body was frozen, so his death could have occurred several months, years ago… This time, Stascha and Emil must dive deep into the world of mountains to clarify the tragedy that happened long ago.
Episode 12 – “Before Midnight”
At the marina, Stascha’s father celebrates his birthday in the evening. In the morning, Stascha receives a call to the scene of a murder on the beach where she finds the body of her cousin Luka. She wants to do research on her own because she owes it to her father. Branko is very attached to Luka, the only child of his brother who died in the war. Police chief Kovačić considers this a perfect example of “bias”. In order not to completely withdraw Stascha from the case, he officially entrusts Emil with conducting the investigation. Research of Luka in police files in Zagreb revealed not only drug-related crimes but also accusations of rape. An emotionally demanding journey begins for Stascha. Only when another murder occurs with the same weapon and the same “handwriting of the perpetrator”, does the deeply loyal Emil and relieved Stascha finally get back on track – and this leads to the attack on the diamond transport in Zagreb the previous year.
